Where are you based?
I am based out of Eagle, Colorado which sits at 6600ft (about 2012 meters) and has access to routes that would take me up to 12,000ft (about 3658 meters).

Where's your favourite place to ride?
Living in the Vail Valley, it’s hard to choose just one place as my favorite to ride. Specifically living in Eagle, CO we really have a bit of everything from sage-lined high desert trails, aspen grove alpine trails, big berm pump track like descents, forest roads for days, and even little hidden gems of single track throughout the community called Singletrack Sidewalks. This project is an initiative to link neighborhoods to the school system via singletrack. Most importantly, we have the kids involved in the building and maintenance of these trails empowering them with community involvement as well as influencing a new generation of stewards of the trail.

Eagle is also a great central location to access so many spectacular high alpine rides. Once trails open further up valley, I enjoy riding anywhere and everywhere in and around Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain. I absolutely love where I live!

What type of riding do you like to do the most?
I would have to say alpine riding would be my favorite type of riding. Something with a big climb, rewarding views, and technical descending.

Mostly, I do cross country mountain biking, but I enjoy a little bit of everything on two wheels!

How do you discover a new route? Do you plan ahead with maps or just see where the road takes you?
My boyfriend, Jeff Kerkove is usually the route planner. He has a high addiction to riding above tree line, so with his experience riding in these areas as well as referencing maps we usually find ourselves somewhere new most weeks throughout the summer months. If I’m alone, my new routes are usually found through getting lost. I feel very comfortable riding in our backcountry and feel safe taking new turns to see where they may go.

What equipment do you use to capture your ride?
When alone I use my iPhone5. It’s not the best, but somehow still works. When Jeff is along he’s usually shooting a Nikon Coolpix S6800 or an EpicCam.

What destination would be on your riding wish list?
Having only learned how to mountain bike 5 years ago I feel like there are still places here in Colorado I have yet to tackle! However, it is definitely on my list of To Do’s to live out of a van and travel, explore and ride through New Zealand.
