There is a familiarity with your local river. How it meanders through the landscape and where it begins and ends. But how does it relate to other rivers across the British Isles?
This print is an update to the sold out original rivers print with the addition of five rivers that were missing due to being unnamed on the OS map. It also veers into the territory or tertiary rivers and how this affects the measurement of rivers such as the Tay.
The rivers are ordered from north to south. The end of the name denotes the river length. The 134 rivers listed are specified as main rivers within the 1:50 000 OS map of the British Isles.
Each print has been silkscreen printed by hand using colour gradients to create the rivers and so every print is unique.
